  Awful experience, hadn't eaten for 24 hours by the time i finially went in for my surgery, was kept in the recovery for over an hour after i'd woken up because they 'lost' my nurse, had to cry in pain before i was given pain medication straight after the surgery (would have assumed they just give you some sort of pain relief after you've been sliced open but hey ho), was patronised by the nurses, given only toast and coffee whilst i was there even though i was there over a day. When i left the next morning i was discharged by a nurse who had no idea what operation i had had and told me i had no no stitches (i have about 5/6) didnt book me in to get my stitches taken out and couldnt answer any of my questions about how to look after my wounds post op, i was told to only take paracetamol and ibuprofen for the pain, when i had to get a doctor out to my house because of the unbearable pain she prescribed be co codamol and was disgusted that i wasn't prescribed any pain relief at the hospital . I am now having to go to the GP to get the stitches taken out and get antibiotics i hope as i've gotten a massive infection in one of my wounds, possibly because i was only given enough bandages to change my wounds twice, but who knows, overall im completely disgusted might as well have gone through the nhs I probably would have had a better experience.
